January's Wish List

One foggy, cold January day, Lady A met Lady B for a well-deserved tea break. "After all", said Lady A, "it's the 7th of January, I'm back at work for the first day in two weeks and quite frankly, I deserve a treat."  Lady A had just finished filming the final episode of ITV's Mr Selfridge.  "After the success of the first episode, we're sure the nation is going to LOVE this programme.  Now that Mr Crawley is dead and buried, we need to give them something to watch", gushed Lady A.  "But first of all, you look absolutely divine in that necklace."
"Oh this Royal Pearl Necklace?" asked Lady B, threading the pearls through her fingers. "It was just from Accessorize.  I thought it matched my OPI 'Barre My Soul' nail varnish beautifully.
The two ladies settled down to tea.  "I'm on such a gruelling post-Christmas diet", said Lady A.  "I just don't think I can eat anything at all! Besides, it's 11am, and if I have any more caffeine today, I'll be up all night."
"What you should drink is white tea from The TeaShed" suggested Lady B.  "It's caffeine free, and the silky teabags are so pretty.  I quite like their chai tea myself, but today I think I'll settle for a Starbucks Vanilla Spice Latte. Perfect for these treacherous winter days!  But if you're really wanting to slim down, and I know that you've made yet another resolution to get fit, you should download this Couch to 5K app for your iPhone. It's a great app, which builds your strength up so that you're running 5K before you know it. It's a great training tool."
"I think I might, said Lady A. I'm going on holiday to Paris later this year, and I've got to by Mr A's hold-all later on today, because goodness knows that behind a well dressed man is an impeccable woman! I had seen a Clipper holdall which is just so suave.  It'll have all the French girls swooning.  Any girl, in fact!"
"What a wonderful idea", said Lady B. "While we're talking about France, we've got French friends coming for dinner tonight, so I'm desperately trying to cook some authentic French dishes for them.  I've just bought Rachel Khoo's Little Paris Kitchen recipe book, and the recipes are mouthwatering."
"Well that's all very interesting dear, but really I've got to get back on set - it's make up time.  But we're so fortunate because we ordered personalised make up kits from Birchbox so the casts' make up just gets sent in the post every month. Just brilliant!"
And with that, Lady A and Lady B were off.
